​Second semester sophomore year is ideal; this prepares students for the PSAT in the fall of their junior year. Ideally, they will take the test by December of their junior year.

Each class is one hour of personalized coaching.

Students are taught in six week sessions before each ACT/SAT testing date.

​The first few weeks of class are devoted to intense reading practice to build skills and increase timing. Students are given strategies to master the fundamentals of critical reading.  

This statement is made over and over again. Reading is the one skill that must be mastered to do well on national testing. Reading impacts math, too. If a student incorrectly reads the word problem, he will get it wrong.  

Writing concepts are covered but a more in-depth reading/writing program will be launching soon. Stay tuned for updates posted here and on our homepage.

Students are one-on-one coached with top-tier math "gurus" who teach ACT/SAT math concepts based on each student's math weaknesses and areas needing improvement. 

With a limited number of weekly one-one-one coaching times, it's difficult to reschedule. Accommodations are made ONLY for illness, prior events, or unforeseen circumstances.

Yes, students are trained to write and write well as a part of the reading program. Students read two passages that offer conflicting points of view. They learn to write back how they differ, how they compare, and how to support their claims. Writing is a part of nearly every class.
